Description
Located in the La Selva neighbourhood, this remarkable show villa was designed with an L-shaped layout and has an excellent orientation offering magnificent views of the Montseny Mountains. There is a clear contrast between the more open and public upper floor, housing the entrance areas and daytime spaces, and the porticoed base of the more secluded and private ground floor where the bedrooms are located. The swimming pool and outdoor areas lie halfway between these two worlds and have been placed diagonally, facing towards the sunset and providing uninterrupted views.
With its very high-quality range of finishes and fittings, rational use of materials and the integration and full appreciation of the resort’s privileged natural setting, the home is a successful example and benchmark for the style and quality of life that PGA Catalunya Resort offers.
About the Architect
DeBlacam and Meagher
Set up in 1976, by John Meagher and Shane DeBlacam, the Dublin-based practice has become one of the most established and widely published in the city. A meticulous attention to detail and a sensitive non-stylistic approach to design ensures that each building is unique and highly site specific. The practice is primarily concerned with the making of simple buildings and with the employment of beautiful materials to give quality, permanence and significance to the work.
