Competition Structure

VIEW GROUPS AND SCHEDULE

Round 1: Competitors in the group complete a six-ball set. The top five finishers in each group advances to Round 2. The other four move into the loser’s for Round 3.

Round 2: Five competitors complete a six-ball set. The 2 winners advance to Sixteen Finals. The two losers move into the loser’s for Round 4.

Round 3: Four competitors complete a six-ball set. The top two finishers advance to Round 4. The two losers are eliminated from the competition.

Round 4: Four competitors (two from Round 2, two from Round 3) complete a six-ball set. The top two finishers advance to Sixteen Finals. The other two are eliminated.

Sixteen-finals: Sixteen competitors complete a six-ball set in a match play format. The top eight finishers advance to the Quarterfinals match play round. The other eight are eliminated from the competition. Example 1 vs.16, 2 vs. 15.

Quarterfinals: Eight competitors complete a six-ball set in a match play format. The top four finishers advance to the Semifinal match play round. The other four are eliminated from the competition.

SemiFinals: Four competitors will be seeded according to their distances in the Quarterfinals. The matches involve seeds 1 vs. 4 (Match One) and 2 vs. 3 (Match Two). The two winners advance to the final match.

Final: The championship final pits the winners of the Semifinals matches. The winner is crowned champion of the REMAX WLDC Spain 2012.
